Does any of this sound like you?
People get in touch at all sorts of points. Some have been thinking about it for a long time, others have had something happen recently and want to talk it through. You might recognise some of this:
- You’re managing, but it’s taking more out of you than it used to.
- Something from the past keeps affecting how things are now.
- Anxiety or low mood has settled in and hasn’t shifted on its own.
- Work has worn you down, or an injury at work has changed things.
- Other people think you’re doing fine, and that’s not how it feels.
If none of that fits exactly, that’s alright. You’re welcome to get in touch and discuss your needs.
Working with a psychologist who knows the Sunshine Coast
Finding the right psychologist matters more than finding the closest one. Veronica lives and works on the Sunshine Coast, so she understands the setting that shapes a lot of people’s lives here, from the pace of a fast-growing region to the pressures of shift work, caring roles, and running a small business.
From november 2026, Veronica sees clients in person in Maroochydore, with parking on site. Telehealth continues as well, so you can attend from home, from work or anywhere private if that’s easier. You can choose either, and change between them as your circumstances change. The Maroochydore page has the details.
What Veronica works with
Veronica works with adults and adolescents across a wide range of concerns. Some of the areas she works with most often include:
- Anxiety
- Burnout and chronic stress
- Trauma and PTSD, including complex trauma
- ADHD and neurodivergence
- Grief and loss
- Work-related psychological injury
That’s a selection rather than a full list. If what you’re dealing with isn’t here, or you’re not sure whether it fits, you’re welcome to get in touch and talk it through.
How Veronica works
Veronica’s work is evidence-informed, which means she draws on approaches with good research support and matches them to what you actually need. In practice, that often includes:
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which focuses on building psychological flexibility and taking action in line with your values.
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which builds practical strategies by working with the links between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.
- EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), a structured, evidence-based approach used in the treatment of trauma. Veronica is registered with the EMDR Association of Australia (EMDRAA).
Depending on what you need, she also draws on dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) skills, mindfulness-based approaches, and solution-focused work. She’ll talk the approach through with you rather than applying a fixed formula.
In person or by telehealth
Sessions run for 50 minutes, in person in Maroochydore from November 2026 or over secure video or phone. For telehealth, you’ll get a private link before each appointment. All you need is a quiet, private space and a stable internet connection. Telehealth suits ongoing therapy well, and the research supports it for many common presentations. You can read more on the telehealth page.

Working with people across the Sunshine Coast
Veronica works with people right across the Sunshine Coast, including Mooloolaba, Maroochydore, Buderim, Caloundra, Kawana, Minyama, Birtinya and the surrounding areas. In-person sessions are in person in Maroochydore from November 2026, within easy reach of Mooloolaba, Buderim, Alexandra Headland and the northern Coast. If the drive doesn’t suit, telehealth means where you live on the Coast makes no practical difference to getting an appointment.
For people outside the region, Veronica also works with adults and adolescents across Queensland and the rest of Australia.
What happens when you get in touch
Getting in touch with a psychologist for the first time can feel like a big step, so it helps to know what happens next.
- You send a message or call. You can share as much or as little as feels comfortable at this stage.
- Veronica replies personally, usually within one business day. Enquiries aren’t handled by a reception team.
- You have a short conversation about what you’re looking for, and if it seems like a good fit, you arrange a first session. If Veronica isn’t the right person for what you’re dealing with, she’ll say so and point you toward someone who is.
- If you already know you’d like to start, you can also book a first session online.
Fees and funding
