In person or by telehealth
Some people prefer to come in to the rooms. That can suit you if home isn’t a private place to talk, if video calls feel tiring, or if you’d like a clear separation between home and the work you do in therapy. Others find telehealth easier to keep up around work, family or travel.
You can choose either, and you can change between them as your circumstances change. Some people use both. Sessions run for 50 minutes in either format, and the fee is the same. If you’re weighing it up, online vs in-person therapy covers the differences.
Where the rooms are
The practice is in Maroochydore, with parking on site. It’s within easy reach of Mooloolaba, Alexandra Headland, Buderim, Kuluin, Bli Bli and the northern end of the Coast. In-person appointments are available Monday to Friday.
The rooms are on the first floor and reached by stairs, as the building doesn’t have a lift. If stairs aren’t workable for you, sessions are available by telehealth, by video or phone.
What Veronica works with
Veronica works with adults and adolescents across a wide range of concerns. Some of the areas she works with most often include:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Burnout and chronic stress
- Trauma and PTSD, including complex trauma
- ADHD and neurodivergence
- Grief and loss
- Work-related psychological injury, including WorkCover Queensland claims
That’s a selection rather than a full list. If what you’re dealing with isn’t here, or you’re not sure whether it fits, you’re welcome to get in touch and talk it through.
How Veronica works
Veronica’s work is evidence-informed. In practice that often includes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and EMDR, and she’s registered with the EMDR Association of Australia (EMDRAA). Depending on what you need, she also draws on DBT skills, mindfulness-based approaches and solution-focused work. The therapy page has more on how she works.
Fees and funding
Individual therapy is $230 per session, in person or by telehealth.
With a valid GP Mental Health Treatment Plan, the Medicare rebate is $101.55 per eligible session, which leaves $128.45 out of pocket. The rebate is the same for in-person and telehealth sessions.
Veronica also accepts clients funded through the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA). A referral is required, and sessions are billed directly to DVA with no gap payment. Private health, NDIS and workers’ compensation options are set out on the fees and funding page.
What happens when you get in touch
- You send a message or call 0468 493 039. You can share as much or as little as you like at this stage.
- Veronica replies herself, usually within one business day.
- You talk briefly about what you’re looking for and whether you’d prefer in person or telehealth. If it seems a good fit, you arrange a first session. If Veronica isn’t the right person for what you need, she’ll say so and suggest where to go instead.
- If you’d rather go straight ahead, you can also book a first session online, by telehealth now or in person from November 2026.
